A R Rahman is undoubtedly the most talented and experimentative mind in the field of music, today.People who havent really heard a lot of him say that he is repetitive.I feel they are, instead.Here is my top ten list.
Topping the list is’Jiya Jale-Dil Se’., Then comes’Jaana-Duniya Dilwalon Ki’, Then comes’Kehna Hi kya-Bombay’, Then’ Mangta Hai Kya-Rangeela’, ’Chandaa Re of Sapnay’is the next.’Kissa Hum Likhenge-Doli Sajaa ke Rakhna’ is followed by’Taal Se Taal-Taal’, ’Ghanana Ghanan-Lagaan’, ’Yeh Haseen Vaadiyaan-Roja’ and finally, ’Tanha Tanha-Rangeela’.I am excluding his album, Vande Mataram, coz it is too out of the world for any list.Even in that, listen to’Only You’ and you’ll realise the depth this person’s vocal chords and those of the electric guitar touch as his mental faculties tune them on.I dont think there will be a single lover in this country who would not have been stirred by any one of his songs.
