I regret to say that our experience with this card for international trip was disheartening. At every merchant outlet I would cross my fingers hoping it works this time...it worked in one out of four times and rest of the times I had to use other modes of payment.
Finally I returned and encashed my amount in INR.
I would never subscribe to this one ever in my life nor would I encourage anyone to do so, in fact would suggest to be cautious and go for it at their own risk.
On contacting the agent for this issue when I was abroad, I realized that he ended up giving repeated suggestions which never worked and then the blame was passed to RBI changing laws, which was very unrealistic.
It is very sad to say that Thomas Cook made money for
issuing the card,
commission for INR to Foreign currency and 3. again commission for foreign currency to INR.
