Hello. Today I am going to write my honest review for Toshiba Canvio Basic 3TB hard drive. Toshiba is one the most popular brand in India. I have bought this 3Tb hard drive for myself as I am more into gaming and want to store all of my favorite games at same place. I think I have done a very big mistake by buying this Hard drive. For the first few months it was working fine with a bit increase in temperature. I thought thats normal. Almost 2.1 Tb out of 3Tb was occupied. In last week the hard got corrupted.
The performance that is the read and write speed was good at tge starting but gradually decreased time to time. The Hard disk becomes very hot on using along with some connection problems.
The size of the hard drive is small and compect though. The design is simple amd looks good.
Talking about their service support it is very poor. I called them regarding my temperature issue but they told its normal. I have another 1tb hard disk but it doesn’t get that hot. The customer executive will not help you properly.
It is Obiously not a value for money product. The price is too high and has many issue like heating, slow read and write, and fir me it lasted for 9 months only. So if you are paying high and using it for only 9 months I dont think its a value for money product.
