Hi All,
This is my first post about my experience with my 2017 Corolla Altis GL, petrol manual.
I bought this car as a 3rd owner from a private dealer in Chennai, 2 months before, while buying it was clocked close to 64000 kms.
It took around 10 days for me to understand the natural driving characteristic of this car. Post getting a good touch with this car, I could get 11 to 12 kmpl in a normal city traffic and 9 to 10 in a bumper to bumper city traffic with full 5 adult occupants. Driving on highways, i managed to get 14 - 15 kmpl with full 5 adult occupants + my 4 years old kid + 50% luggage loaded in the boot. Both the city and highway driving was with 100% AC ON, and my driving speed was averaging 70 kmph (speed range between 60 - 95 kmph). I also should mention that the highway mileage was higher than 15 kmpl for my driving style, but I had a frequent stops for my family elders to relax, which kept my car IDLE with AC ON, so that I can say that the highway mileage might propably reached 16 kmpl which is a fantastic mileage figure for a car of this caliber.
This car is definitely not meant for city commuting, only for highways. Currently my car requires all 4 tyre replacement, as the tyres were 3-4 years old and came with mix of different brands and models (yokohoma & goodyear), which creates a bit noisy driving due to hard wheel rubbers. I am planning to change the tyres after completing 70k kms.
Once after changing the tyres I can post my driving experience in this thread.
