Tamasha? I would say stop the madness!!

Women and the weight loss tamasha is Rujuta Diwekar’s second book, Don’t lose your mind, lose your weight being her first ( which I absolutely love, might have read it 4 times), what women and weight loss tamasha is all about? Its exactly that!! women and the tamasha we go through to lose weight!

If there is anything I know is the invisible but highly damaging pressure to look good, pressure from society in general whether it be my parents, friends, relatives, everyone plays a part unknowingly or knowingly! No matter how much a girl denies this pressure, it is there and we all know it! So, why do I have to fit into your ( created by the society) definition of good looking ( good meaning fair, thin, tall)? This is one question I have tried asking many people and myself too.. Never got an answer until I read this book!

This book is written for women, especially Indian women! It has everything you need to know and you ever need to know, the challenges we face, the troubles, stages, the roles we play and the responsibilities we need to handle.. EVERYTHING!! From teenage to old age every thing is explained to the fullest detail humanly possible!

And every problem that you might come across and has simple solutions too, that’s the best part about this book! And it addresses real problems a lot of women struggle with!

The writing style is almost like your bff talking to you! Its simple yet leaves a great impact on you.. And the boxes throughout are the highlight of this book! I don’t want to give away too much of details or the contents as it would spoil the experience of reading!

If her first book taught how to eat and lead a healthy life, this book teaches you much more.. beyond being healthy, I found it extremely interesting and I wish every mother in India who is obsessed with getting her daughter married reads this! (Serious face)

This book is not for the men!! But if you are looking for the perfect gift for the girls (gf, mom) in your life.. this is it! :)

This book is worth every rupee (140 if you order it online) and you are not wasting any money if you buy and read it by any stretch of imagination!

Every girl is special and beautiful! Please Stop the madness!

PS: I had ordered this book and got it yesterday, and only finished reading it fully now, and I couldn’t stop myself from writing a review! :P And I am not an expert reviewer but I just want (at least a few) girls to read this book!
