’’Ye Tera Ghar Ye Mera Ghar’’(YTGYMG) looks like a picture lost its way by coming in the fast life of today rather than coming in the 70’s when these type of films had a good base. There are many reasons to it starting right from the selection of story to small incidents shown in the film.

’’Dayashankar’’(Sunil Shetty) is a typical village boy. After his death of his father the responsibility of clearing the debts comes on Sunil’s shoulders. He ecides to sell his house in Mumbai to clear all the debts and to become rich overnight. But the tenants in the house refuse to go out of the house..The earning girl of the family ’’Saraswati’’(Mahima Choudhary) and her family do not listen at all to Sunil Shetty’s demand after he tries everything to oust them.

To get them out Sunil takes the help of his childhood friend ’’O.P.Yadav’’(Paresh Rawal) but Paresh falls in Mahima’s love and cannot help Sunil. Mahima tries to get rid of Sunil with the help of her uncle ’’Mama Kane’’(Saurabh Shukla) but it does not work and it comes back to her. In the end Sunil gets the house empty but…

Overall the director Priyadarshan has failed miserably in doing this project. Its treatment is like a episode of a TV serial. Also the pace of the film is too slow. The pace which is lost in the first 1 hour does not pick up through the whole film. The music of Anand-Milind is Average and two songs are hummable.

In the acting department Sunil Shetty is OK, Mahima looks good in the sarees and bindis but the one who leaves the mark is Paresh Rawal. His getups and acting is simply superb.
