On Saturday, just 2 days before the Oscars, I got a chance to see ’’a Beautiful Mind’’. As I knew the story before, I didn’t find it hard to understand the movie. The movie is about a genius professor, Dr John Nash (Rusell Crowe), who remains in his own world, the first scene shows him as person who is very straight, shy and a confused personality, as he says in the movie ’’People don’t like me very much’’. He knows he is a genius in cracking any kind of code in the world, he writes big-big theorms, formulas on the window pane of his room. He can never accept defeat, when he loses in a game, he just cant take it. He doesn’t attend classes nor submits any papers for his thesis. As such he was not awarded the prize he always wanted. Then his roommate comes and he mingles with him quite well. He remains as such, goes to teach student in his home-wear.....There he meets a beautiful girl (Jennifer Conneilly), who begins to like him, he also felt attracted towards her. And After few meetings and a lovely kiss, they decided to Marry. In the meantime, one officer (Ed Harris) from US Defence, Pentagon asks Dr Nash to come and cracks the code for a secret war-head occupied by Russians. He goes to Pentagon to Help the US Gov in cracking the code. But he thinks that Russians are trying to kill him or harm him. He gets frightened so much that he always sees them after him. This makes him Paranoid, then a team of Doctors take him to mental hospital to cure him. Time Passes by, he returns home, takes medicines but still his past frightens him. He was unable to satisfy his wife’s desires due to his medications, his mannerisms takes on her and she decides to leave her. But soon she discovers that he needed her more than anyone else at that time. Time Passes by, he continues to see that US Officer chasing him, his friend, but now he decides to Ignore them and after few difficulties, he finally managed to get over them.
And his Genius mind and Hard Work atlast pays off, the members of the jury decides to give him a Nobel Prizes for his ’’Bargaining theorm’’. And his Emotional Speech...
