Story:
A Ghost Story was directed by David Lowey staring Casey Affleck(Brother of Bruce Wayne) and Rooney Mara. This movie is very upbeat and unusual tale of a husband who dies and wakes up in the hospital, looking like a kid’s Halloween costume version of ghost. We follow him on an existential journey to his past and future.
Verdict:
This movie is so emotionally impactful that when the credits roll, I just sat in front of my Laptop complete silence without saying anything. The ending of this film hit me so hard that I was pretty much leveled emotionally. This is one of the saddest movie I have ever seen in my life. There is a lot of visual storytelling and Lowry really succeeds with that. All of these things that explored almost entirely through imagery. There are some horror elements in this movie like books knocked out of the bookshelves and light flickering. Anyone who goes to this movie thinking it’s paranormal activity kind of movie, they are going to be really disappointed. It’s not a ghost movie in your stereotypical Hollywood sense, it’s an emotional journey and it’s one that left a bruise on you, in the best way. It’s remarkable and beautiful I don’t think you should miss it.
