The album ’’A Hard Day’s Night’’ released by The Beatles should surely rank as one of the most outstanding and remarkable rock albums of all times. This was one of the first albums released by The Beatles during the period 1962-1964 that would go down in history as the ’’Rocking 60’s’’. The first track on the A- side starts with the title track ’’A Hard Days Night’’. The song written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney starts with the customary strumming of the guitar that would still make the heart jump in sheer ecstacy. The most important thing that needs to be noted is that all the songs are a truly classic delight. This is one of the few albums that has all the songs written by the famous Lennon-McCartney duo. The second track is ’’I Should have known Better’’ which starts with some excellent Harmonica music by John Lennon. This is one of my personal all-time tracks. It has excellent lyrics and really musical melody that is still so refreshing to the heart even after all these years. Of course there is another song ’’I am Happy just to Dance with you’’ for which George Harrison lent his voice. There are also a couple of really soulful ballads by Paul McCartney that truly brings out the essence of poetry at its very best. They are songs like ’’And I Love Her’’. This song is romance at its very best. One cannot ignore other tracks like ’’Can’t Buy me Love’’ and ’’Tell Me Why’’ which has both Lennon and McCartney at their best. Overall all the tracks of this album are unique in their very own way and appeals to people of all age groups. One of my first memories of this album was when I was around 4 years old and would start shaking a leg when I would listen to the music from my dad’s transistor. Even now the music has still not lost its freshness and make one’s heart go wild. The Beatles did not rest with just releasing the audio version of ’’A Hard Days Night’’, but also went on to make a movie with the same name. This is a movie that no Beatles fan should ever miss for anything simply because it contains all the tracks of the album and also has The Beatles giving in an excellent performance as far as acting prowess is concerned. Over all, I will conclude by saying that this is truly a collector’s delight and is a must buy for all people fans and non-fans alike. I would assure you that you would never regret buying the audio piece and will still enjoy listening to all the tracks even 30 years down the line.
