I bring to your kind notice how the press is taking freedom to its advantage/use/misuse/abuse.
I had opted for a 5 year subscription to A&M magazine in September 2000. Their advt carried with liberal free gifts to a value of Rs. 3500 and above which includes a VIP suit case, Niki shoes, VIP gift vouchers and a travel bagETC. for 5 , 3 , 2 year subsriptions along with BUMBER PRIZES LIKE CARS, MOTOR CYCLES, COMPUTERS ETC. They advised me to wait for three months for receipt of the gifts.
Now I had received a Rs. 350 worth travel bag after one and a years and there is no reply from them about the remaining gifts inspite of my repeated reminders. But, the mischief is continuing with every fortnight with the same type of advts. with free gifts and BUMBER PRIZES. Is there a forum to represent our casae and check this kind of cheating activities as the PRESS HAVING FREEDOM TO FLEECE.
IS THIS WHAT YOU CALL IT AS PRESS FREEDOM.
Will you help to find a solution for many of the readers who are being taken for a cool ride by BIG PEOPLE like A&M?
