On the eve of legendary singer Mohammed Rafi’s 82nd birthday music troupe Keep Alive has organised a grand tribute titled ‘ Romantic Refrains Of Mohd Rafi ‘ on Dec 25th at Shanmukhananda Hall, kings circle, at 6:30 pm. Wellknown singer Srikant Narayan will render immortal Rafi classics from films like Baiju Bawra, Mr & Mrs 55, Kala Bazaar, CID, 12’Oclock, Aarzoo, Guide, Junglee, Kohinoor, Chaudvi Ka Chand, Meri Surat Teri Aankhen, Kashmir Ki Kali, Amar Akbar Anthony, Karz among others. Singers Sarita Rajesh and Vrushali Patil will accompany in the duets. Shri Manohar Iyer will host the programme and enlighten the audience with rare insights and information on the great singer. Interestingly Mohammed Rafi’s eldest daughter, who never attends any music programme, has consented to grace the occasion. All the proceeds from the show will go to Jankalyan Seva Ashram, Panvel, an old age home.
