Sucker punch tells the story of a man caught in the web of fake love, greed and seventy million dollars. He is a small time bank clerk who gets hold of a big account, manages to marry the rich lady who owns it, falls in love with her secretary, who wants a share of the big money too and then they somehow plan to murder her to get hold of the big bucks.
As far as James Hadley goes, if you have read one, you have read them all. His storylines are almost the same and after reading a couple of his books, you can almost predict what’s going to happen. Nonetheless, they are interesting to read. If you are a fan of suspense, intrigue, fast paced plots and thriller stuff, you should try James Hadley.
I have read almost all of his titles, and except for a few, I liked all of them. He also has stories which have elements of voodoo and black magic, crystal balls and psychic readings etc, which I must say has added to the appeal. Do Not go by the covers of James hadley chase books.
They look like they are some porno books or something, but it is definitely nothing of that sort.. Makes it embarrassing to carry them because of that , I used to cover them up and bind them like text books.. Lol..James Hadley is a good read.. more than good.. Some books make you feel like sitting all day long with them and reading until you are done.. This is one of them.
