Me and my friend once decided to watch this movie on a sunday afternoon. She had been prodding me to watch this movie and finally I agreed to.
Love happens to you when you least expect it. Thats what happened with Jamie and Landon. Landon being one of a very popular guy in college, got punished by the Principal when he was doing a prank on a friend that went completely wrong. As a punishment he has to join a drama club. Jamie is a quite girl, an outsider and she always wore a blue sweater because of which she was always laughed upon.
Landon and Jamie met in the drama club and they both happened to be the lead in the college play. At first Landon was least interested in the play but later when he got to know the consequences of behaving this way he finally became serious about it. As he had no experience in acting he asks Jamie to help with it.
Jamie being helpful accepts to help Landon but he disrespects her by making fun of her in front of his’cool’ friends. Jamie gets very annoyed and angry with him, finds all his excuses lame to behave in such a way. But eventually she does forgive him. Like this they start spending a lot of time together and Landon starts liking Jamie. He now has a very different perspective towards her and they fall in love.
Everything was fine until Landon got to know the heart breaking secret about Jamie, which made the theo 18-year olds undertsnd the meaning of love and fate.
A walk to remember is a very sweet love story, that has sincere and positive impact on the audience of this age. Jamie and Landon represent the true virtues of love and life.
