Jal- Rocking as ever!!!

I am writing this review while listening to AADAT by Jal. Soul touching music combined with beautiful lyrics and amazing vocals - that is how I would define JAL. I realised how great Jal was immediately after watching the video of ’WOH LAMHEY’ on MTV. I totally fell for them. An amalgam of good looks and charisma was perfectly brought out in the video and was enough to appeal to me.

The band consists of three guys- Farhan, Goher and Shazi. Formerly, Atif Aslam was also a part of the band. But the band rocks even without him. I’m personally a loyal fan of theirs.

They are definitely a great tribute to Pakistani music. This original talent is taking Pakistani music above Indian music (sad to say). Today, in India, majority of the songs are remixes though we also have immense talent with us.

The best tracks I think by Jal are-

AADAT also known as BHIKHRA HOO MAIN:

It is an awfully wonderful song which you can go on listening for your lifetime!! Farhan’s voice and the Goher’s guitar skills with Shazi’s drums makes sure that you’ll never get bored of this song. No wonder it has been on the top of all charts lately.

WOH LAMHEY:

This song has become very popular mainly because after leaving the band Atif sold the song to a movie. But the original version is the best. I’m sure all those who’ve heard this will agree with me.

PANCHI HOO:

The lyrics is the main catch in this song. Here, I’d like to quote some of the words from this song-

’’Panchi hoo, udne do..udne do

hawaao say, ladne do

Tanhaai, rehne do...rehne do

aasoo, behene do’’

Aren’t they breath taking. Listen to the song and know it for yourself.
