Pathetic Service of Aadhaar Authority Management

I am a Sr Citizen. I had applied for Aadhaar card on 5th September 2011( repeat year 2011). It is over 17 months now that to-date I have not received the Aadhaar Card.


When I checked the status  Collection Centre, Mumbai on 21st Jan 2012. But surprisingly, the coloumns show that Delivered at- Not available and Delivered on -Not avaialble.


I went at the centre to enquire where I had enrolled for Aaadhaar card, but they were helpless. I was told to check with the Bandra Post Office. I went with the print-out of the status report. They said they have no record. This follow up has taken almost one year.


When got frustated, atlast I lodged a official complaint  by email with Aadhaar Enquiry(help@uidai.gov.in) on 2nd Jan 2013. I did not recieve their reply for 10 days, and I had to send the reminder  threating that if I don’t receive their response in 3 days I will approach media.


Immediately, I got the response to say that check with Speed Post in Bandra Post Office. I did check and the official confirmed their reord does not show recipt of Aadhaar card. I went back to Aadhaar authority  and informed them accordingly by email.


I also requested them to give me alternative what should I do next. Giving option like Authority will issue me duplicate or I have to reapply for Addhaar card.


It is pity, that to-date my said email remained unanswered by the Aadhaar Authority.


I am not the only person, there are lacs of citizens like me who have not recieved the Aadhaar card and struggling.


Authority should advise immediatly what people should do in such unfortunate cases.


The basic problem is that Banks and HP Gas and other companies require Aadhaar card as one of the main document.


As a prudent professional, what I see is that Aadhaar Authority have completely mis-managed the project and lost their control over on this project. I feel the Prime Minister Office sould now come in picture and review the progress and problems faced by the citizens and take appropriate action to smoothen the process.
