Aakash should be banned!

Please be clear about the fine print of all JEE coachers. Very often they are frauds. Aakash admitted my ward with an ANTHE scholarship of 80% and I assumed that it was fine for his JEE advanced pursuit.

I had missed the bus for FIITJEE as my ward had not known about their FTRE exam on time conducted during2013 end. After one year in Aakash the only benefit is the bad taste lingering in our mind and particularly w.r.t. to the headstrong Faculty head in Indiranagar branch who incidentally is the head of training in Bangalore. His only job is to ask students to slog. As per his communicatin to me, he expects disciplined hard work; so if you succeed he takes the credit and if you fail it is your fault! Simple logic. To work hard you can save time and money not going to Aakash.

Today I notice their advt in the newspaper and I notice that now they are talking some realities.that they are aiming at KCET results!

So if you are looking at IIT and at JEE Main or Advanced they are the wrong ones for sure. If you see their results, most of their claimed successful candidates are candidates whose names are there in other institutes like FIITJEE or Allen or even the Narayana/Chaitnayas. Second their top names are based on category ranks. Very often the category ranks and 10 to 100 multiple of the CML. In the sense a OBC 200 might actually mean a CML 2000 and so on. In summary the probability of your child getting a rank in 1000 in CML in JEE Advanced via Aakash is about 2% and given that only 3% of Karnataka candidates get through in first 1000 in JEE Adv in the past gives your child a 6 in a million chance. The odds improve with others. However while the result is based on your child the best part of the joke is that Aakash will provide your the feeling that it is a topper institute based on the results of PwD candidates who again might feature in other JEE training institutes!

So if your child needs to get into IITs or get a good REC using his Common Merit List rank then keep away from Aakash.

Now will you admit the ward for KCET paying the same sum that the JEE advanced leader FIITJEE charges? Yes Aakash charges a whopping 2.5L for 2 year course which essentially focusses at getting through XII board that too CBSE and nothing else. Their class strength is typically 40.

In effect if you want to pay 2.5L in a 40 student class for CBSE or even KCET then you have the numerous Deekshas and BASES for 40% of  the price. Dont be fooled by Aakash. My ward has wasted one year on this gimmick. Hope you dont go through the same fun!
