• Termination and transfer is common. They have a hire and fire policy. Attrition rate is very high. Fear of termination is common amongst employees. People are terminated without notice. People are transferred to far of places and asked to report the next day. It’s an achievement if you are able to sustain in the company for more than a year. The management believes that transferring people frequently keeps them productive.
• Management controlled by two- three people
• For everything you need to seek MD’s/Director’s permission or pass on the request to your superior who would further filter and pass on the message.
• You will get to see office politics, where undeserving sycophants get promoted.
• HR department does not have any power or say to suggest, question or control recruitment, attrition, transfer, termination, appraisal or salary.
• People in marketing are not well paid or respected, its an industry dominated by faculty/academic staff who get the salary they want.
• The marketing staff helps in taking care of admin, event management, operations and everything for which the need manpower. But when it comes to putting blame for something, they are first to targeted. They are targeted for anything and everything which goes wrong.
• Salary to marketing staff is peanuts compared to the revenue they contribute to.
• Most of the people work on weekly offs, or are asked to do so most of the times. Considering it’s a six day working company its considerable stress to the employee. You are not paid any extra overtime or compensatory off for the extra work. In case you desire so you need to put a request for approval to the Management, which not many dare to do.
