It is as great pleasure to record my appreciation on the speed and efficiency with which the personal goods which arrived in Cape Town Last Friday were delivered at my residence yesterday morning. I thank Mr. Anil Sharma and Mr. McCarthy for the smooth custom clearance process done earlier in the week. I thank Mr. Anil Sharma for the excellent packing done by his staff, There were just three damage noted in about 25 of the 48 boxes opened till now, the Major one being the breaking of the glass front of a wall clock.......
One problem faced was a result of the container not being cleaned after the prior shipment of some dyes (as per Mr. Adhikari, who delivered the items), Leading to all the boxes (and also the workmen) having a smear of blue dyestuff on the exterior. The blue -d Boxes spoiled the carpet in all the rooms of the house. A simple effort of vacuuming did not help. I hope that it becomes OK after a carpet cleaning and my house owner does not demand a complete change of carpets when I leave the house.
I would like to know whether the above would be covered under the scope of insurance.
