I stayed in the resort for 2 days and I would have to say the place is pretty good to chill out and have a leisure weekend. It not far from secundrabad and by car the traffic is light after karkhana.(route map: wikimapia.org)
Before I get on to nice part of our stay a word of caution. Initially I booked for a executive room (rs.3500) 2 days before my planned holiday, a day before I get a call from their manager that there is a problem with giving me that room(maintenance or something) and he asked to politely to go for studio room(rs.3750) I was ok with it so I told him to go ahead and book me for it.
THEN 2 hrs later I get a call again and now some other person tell me even studio is not available so plz change to deluxe cottage(rs.4500). Now I was really pissed off by utter lack of professionalism and gave him a piece of ear. I should say he did apologize and gave me 10% off on the room tariff. That evening I was not comfortable with all this room changing and now was unsure of the booking status, so I called their manager and told him the same. He promptly put my fears to rest and offered me studio room(rs.3750) again. But upon arrival at the resort I found out that I was still booked for delux cottage(rs.4500-10% off offer). I took it but it did leave a bad taste about way things are being managed there.
Anyways the good part. The deluxe cottage is a wonderfully set independent villa with it own private sit out. My wife and 1 yr old baby son loved the place. There is a living room as you enter and a bedroom beyond and the whole place was tastefully decorated and very clean. The whole resort is lust with greenery and is a wonderful stay. The lawns are well laid out with large open spaces giving a openness feeling to it.
The food is I would say the among the best(Veg) food I have tasted in hyderabad. Me and my wife are both "Paneer" lovers and thankfully all paneer items were "TOO GOOD" in the resort restaurants. For me Pasta is a huge favorite and the Pene pasta in the resort is among the best I have eaten on par with one had in delli9. And to me it was the items were reasonably priced compared to other resorts. A special mention should be given to complimentary breakfast which in one word is Fabulous!! So if you are food lover and nature lover this is the place.
The staff in restaurant are very courteous and well mannered. Especially the in "Veg restaurant-Aashana" one particular waiter actually minded my son for sometime so that my wife and I could enjoy the food. Mind you the resort is a leisure resort so dont expect lot of activities other than couple of indoor games and pool. If you want you can do a quick hop to shameerpet lake & deer park(2 kms away) or if you are religious to a nice temple rantagiri(Lord Venkateswara) also ard 3-4 kms from the resort.
The SPA in a resort is little expensive and offer a wide range of massages, facials and wraps. I took the head/neck/back massage (rs.1500) and enjoyed it very much. My wife on other hand was not very satisfied with the facial treatment she had in the SPA. So I guess it your luck. All in all it was a really wonderful experience and we had a good time there and got what we were looking for.... a quite, peaceful, leisure and romantic anniversary together.
