MATTER HAS NOW BEEN RESOLVED. Ms Nancy spoke to me regarding the same.
Harassing the client seems to be their sole objective of the Sales Team at Aamby Valley.
I wanted to visit the site as a potential investor and spoke to the Sales Team in Mumbai.
I categorically told them that since I was there in Lonavala for 2 days I had to finish the site visit on either of those two days - 25th - 26th January, 2013.
I am told that they first need to arrange a sales call with me after deciding on a time and then decide on a budget and then decide on a visit date and then decide on a hundred other things probably including the correct planetary alignments before they can let me visit their site.
On being told that I am based out of CHANDIGARH and NOT Mumbai, the entire cassette tape starts again - Our customers are prestigious we dont want to waste their time blah blah blah (like you werent doing that already).
And how exactly does the Sales team want to do a sales call in Chandigarh either god knows or Mr Subrata Roy knows.
Since I was in Lonavala, I turned up at the Site Office on the 26th hoping I could talk some sense into their heads that its not everyday that I come from Chandigarh to Lonavala. There I am told that the office is closed for the day (which I was informed a day before that it would be open). I am asked to go to the main gate and speak to the incharge there because he can supposedly help me out.
On reaching their I am misbehaved with by one gentleman by the name of Pinku. The most rude person I have ever encountered all my life. You are in the service industry goddammit, learn to respect your client. Arrogance like I have never seen before. I come from the hospitality industry as well, but havent come across such a disdainful person all my life, Who the hell are you boss? The Duke of Edinburgh?
Another dimwitted person was Mr. Sanket from the Sales Team who kept repeating that he cant do anything and that he cant help and he doesnt have any authority and that he needs to do the so called Sales Call.
Then I get to speak to one Mr. Sawant who is the executive. This guy had to be explained the same story again about me being available only for the day and my requirement was limited to a recce of the place which wont take more than 10 minutes. This guys answer was the best - We need to get comfortable with the client before we can proceed with things (God knows what that means).
At the end of it all, I wasnt allowed to visit the place. All my pleas/requests that I was answerable to my boss once I get back and that they could consider this as a special request were unheeded.
I was representing 5 potential investors, having much high net worth than the regular jokers you entertain there. You just lost out on multiple crores worth of investment. Damn you Sahara and Damn you Aamby Valley staff. You guys are doomed for sure! I guarantee you guys are going down along with your skydivers!
