Amit Trivedi is a music director who in my view is the next big thing , I watched the movie aamir , I liked the movie but the songs in the movie also struck a chord with me
I had to check the album out and i’m so glad I did. Ha Raham (Mehfuz) - Murtuza-Qadir, Amitabh & Amit Trivedi
( the opening track, Ha raham is an absolutely brilliant sufi tune , it has superb arrangements and real neat singing.)
Chakkar Ghumyo - Amit Trivedi. ( when I heard the track Chakkar ghumyo in the movie I though its a spin off of ila arun’s dilli saher main gagara jo ghumyo , aye ghumyo aye ghumyo but its not to be its yet another tune driven brilliant song with amit trivedi’s vocals and folk tune which lingers behind in the head long after your done hearing it with. )
Haara - Amit Trivedi.( this was the track that I saw in the movie and it made me want to check out the o.s.t the track’s very progressive, it has unconventional arrangements and its brilliantly sung by Amit Trivedi yet another brilliant track that displays Amit’s musical inventiveness with some super neat ground-breaking arrangements. )
Ek Lau - Shilpa Rao & Amitabh. ( this track with its poignant tune and Shilpa Rao’s addictive vocals makes it a super neat track ). Amit Trivedi should be proud of the music and tracks of Aamir which is an innovative soundtrack. two thumbs up .. all the way
