Aap Mujhe Achcha Lagme Lage (long name) stars the six foot Hrithik Roshan and the cute Amisha Patel. They have come together after the successful Kano Naa...Pyaar Hai. The only difference this time was that this was not as successful as KNPH.
Amisha plays this sweet girl who is like a bird tied up in a cage. She is not really allowed to do anything, even things like going to her best friends wedding! Her family (male members) are highly involved in the under-world society...and everyone knows about this.
Hirthik on the otherhand is a chocolate boy who falls in love with Amisha when he tries to save her from a gunshot. He later finds out where is she lives and who she is and arrives there with his band to play for the Dandia parties that take place during the night at Amisha place.
After looking around, he finds Amisha and the week gets exciting as they keep on meeting at her house...but everything is chori chori, no one knows that they both love each other. But there is one problem that no one suspects them apart from Amishas brother...and you dont want to mess with him...on no!!!
Basically the family finds out about Hrithik and Amisha. Amisha is then forced to go out of the country where she will be married to some guy. But before tis marriage takes place Amisha runs away with Hrithik to his hostel and all the boys help to hide her there. But the family gets to know and takes Amisha home.
But on the way to the airport they bump into Hrithik...and theres a lot of fighting and you get to see Hrithiks pumping muscles and his scared eye! Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
This shocks Amisha as she is told that Hrithik is dead and everyone else presumes that too. By this news Amisha takes an overdose and starts spitting put blood (ewwww!). This actually makes Hrithik to fight more (o dear!)
Finally Amishas father says that Amisha can be with Hrithik and everyone is happy! The storyline as one can see is rather poor and not really new. But the performance of both Hrithik and Amisha is great and lifts the movie up to at least a couple more stars in rating!
The songs are not bad, but they are not wow either. But they do make the movie slighlty more pleasant; this is also the same with the comedy in this flick.
Overall it is rather poor, but due to the performance and the title track I have to give it three stars...
