I had a lots of hope on this movie but it turned out to be hopeless, never had I expected such a movie from Nagesh Kukunoor, its hard to believe that the director who had made movies like "Iqbal" & "Dor" is the director of this movie too.The title of the movie "Aashayein" suits only to the first half of the movie, the second half of the movie should have been named "Niraashayein" because the movie makes you expect a lot from it in the beginning, I was waiting on the edge of my seat to know what will happen however after the movie I really wondered what was I waiting for?
The story goes nowhere, I was expecting some kind of solution or a philosophy but its an abrupt end and I could not find any message from this movie whatsoever, in fact it leaves you totally confused if you try to analyse the movie after watching it.I would have definitely appreciated this movie, at least for making an attempt, if it would have been made by some other director but this was not expected from a director like Nagesh.
Anyway you can watch this movie if you are doing it just for time pass but make sure that you dont watch Aashayein with any kind of Aashayein.PS: This move is extremely depressing, its not recommended for anybody who is trying to have some fun/good time watching the move. You can go ahead only if you are a philosophical person and likes to explore such movies.
