I know its been so long since I wrote a good review....I was just lazy...lol...but I truly missed trashing and loving movies here...
I had so much expectation for this movie. since it has my hottie siddharth in it...i mean this guy rocked it in Ayutha ezhuthu, RDB, Nuvvostante Nenodanthana, Chukallo Chandrudu, and my all time favorite bommarillu......but when it comes to Aata....its like titanic sinking...that’s how terrible the movie was...
the stupid story is like this.Srikrishna (Siddharth) is the sun of theatre projector operator (Sharat babu) in a village. Srikrishna used to watch every movie released in the theatre from his childhood and feels himself as a hero. Vikki (Munna) the son of Home Minister(Jayaprakash Reddy) rapes and murders a friend of Satyavathi (Ileana) . Satyavathi protests against him with other students in the college. Vikki then decides to marry Satyavathi in revenge. She then escapes from there and goes to Antarvedhi where Srikrishna sees her and falls in love with her. Srikrishna saves her from Vikki gang and police and takes her to Hyderabad and hands over her directly to Vikki. Remaining story is about how he saves her and wins her love.
The story is heavily copied from the pawan kalyan and meera jasmine starrer, gudumba shankar, and has heavy shades of mahesh babu starrer, okkadu. The screenplay was very weak since the story is paper thin. The whole blossoming love between the lead pair wasnt well etched. Nothing new with the climax, very ordinary
Performance wise:
Siddharath: he looks like a pimp/robber in this film...i just dont like his whole look...the beard was a bit tooo much...he just gave just an OK performance, but his dialogue delivery really falters..a lot more was expected.
Ilena: one of the worse actresses I saw in my life...first of all this girl looks like she has either anorexia or bulimia, needs to do something about the acne in her face....get breast implants
She is just only here for glamour with her little skimpy outfits and guys will go gaga over that, not a serious actress at all.
Others: Munna was good as the villain, sunil was unbearable with his copycat of Mr.Beans comedy...Sunil is not funny at all, I mean with the comedy thespians from other languages such as jagathy sreekumar, vadivelu, and goundamani, this guy is wayyyy down. jayaprakash reddy gives some comic relief.
Cinematography: excellent
Songs: some songs weren’t that bad.
Direction: parama bore.
Final verdict: MS raju was definitely wrong about this trash...siddharth, think well before you decide.
