The year was 1969 , cracks were being formed within the music group The Beatles . John Lennon with Yoko Ono and Paul MCcartney with Linda were slowly rifting apart with Ringo Starr and George Harrison being reduced to spectators. . They then decided to make a final album. Now what do they name it , nothing would be more fitting that the venue of their Music Studio. Thus Abbey Road was born This album has a special something into it , being the final album of this great group though it was composed earlier, it has its own importance but apart from all that this album is strikingly different. It dosent have the catchy Beatles numbers but some deep numbers typical Beatles style which grows on you as you listen to it and also some very different https://lyrics.
All the songs mentioned are sung by Lennon and Paul unless where specified. The album kicks off with Come together which talks of a unkempt man !!! yup , but this song is great with some lovely chorus and a lovely beat to it. George Harrison comes up with some great guitaring and brilliant songwriting with Something , This one is the best for your girl , it goes like .. Something in the way she moves , attracts me like no other lover… Something in the way she move..eees me Dont wanna lose her now …..
Maxwells Silver Hammer is about a naughty boy who keeps banging his silver hammer on peoples heads .. Bang bang Maxwells silver hammer came down on his head . We shift gears now with Oh Darling this is a high pitched solo rendered by Paul … a great song . Ringo Starr the Drummer finally leaves his drums to themselves to compose and sing a song Octopus Garden it is a fantasy based Garden beneath the sea. This one is decent !!! . The First side ends up with I want you ( Shes so heavy) , this song is a music lovers treat as it does not have much lyrics but some great vocals and guitaring , they keep shifting the range beautifully.
George Harrison the musical magician and converted Hindu comes up with another beauty Here comes the Sun A beautiful piece !!! Because is my favorite song , its a chorus song with some choir like singing. When you listen to it youll like it , try singing it and youll know how difficult it is to do so and then you realize the beauty of this song. Whats up to follow is some brilliant thinking by John and Paul. They have 9 songs one after the other continuously flowing , each different in composition but still woven together by the beauty of their music.
You never gimme my Money.
Sun King.
Mean Mr Mustard.
Polythene Pam.
She came in through the Bathroom window.
Golden Slumbers.
Carry that Weight.
The End
Her Majesty.
This ends a very bizarre and different Beatles Album. The above mentioned songs grow on to you slowly and steadily and then you can slowly make out the links between them and also the meaning behind those funny titles.
Check this out my friends and if you are a Beatles fan I must say that after the second hearing you fall in love with these songs !!!
