I was previously using Tata Photon+ but recently it started getting too slow from last 4-5 moths (in Pune) especially in the evening when I need it most and thus I decided to change to wired line broadband again.
At the same time, I found the brochure of ABC Broadband Broadband in our letter box and thus contacted them.
Immediately on next day the person from ABC Broadband came and explained me the various plans. I opted for Prepaid plan of 30 GB (2.5 years validity, 2 MBps speed) for Rs. 3300/-. On next day, they installed modem and started the connection.
The first thing which I did is, I checked the speed with "speedtest.net" and I got exact 2 MBps. I started using it and Youtube videos were streaming very smoothly. I was very happy for the first day.
Then I used it for one more week and I was checking the speed every time when I start using it. Every time, I was getting exact speed of 2 MBps as promised. This is really good as many other ISPs promise you something and gives something else. I was able to download the 300 MB file in just 20 minutes.
The connection is also very reliable, works all the time. Never found it not working or down.
I am really happy with ABC Broadband broadband. I was earlier just fed up with varying speed of my previous ISP but now I am very happy. Moreover it is also less costly as compared to others as I can get 30 GB data download with 2.5 years validity and I can use it as per my choice. I rarely use 3 GB in one month and normally uses only 1 to 1.2 GB in a month. So I am hoping that, it will last for 2 years for me. Rs. 3, 300/- for 2 years is very affordable without bothering of crossing monthly limit. For other ISPs, it would have cost Rs.12, 000/- for 2 years. So I am also saving almost 70% money.
ABC Broadband people were very cooperative in answering my 2-3 queries after installations.
So as of now I am very happy with constant 2 MBps speed and always ON connection. If ABC Broadband doesn’t go well, I will update the review again.
Update (9-Jan-2012)-
Now ABC Broadband broadband receiver in our area has a problem and therefore it is down most of the times of the day (7-8 hours). Then it starts working and again goes down in next 3-4 hours. I have called ABC Broadband people 4 times and they said, they know the problem and the work is being done to rectify this problem. But unfortunately they are not able to repair it for last 20 days. Temporarily I am using idea net setter 3G prepaid with 850/- (6GB download, 30 days validity) but it is unnecessary burden on me as I have already paid for ABC Broadband.
