Do not fall in the trap

Since the installation of ABC Broadband Wi Bro at my premises in JULY 2012, I have been facing all sorts of problems ranging from misrepresentation by the sales staff, shoddy installation, Poor connectivity, frequent slowdown and disconnections and delayed/no service on lodging of complaints. At first, the customer care can not be reached easily requiring long periods of waiting and if you are lucky enough to reach them, they will note down your request and promise the resolution within fixed time frame which is never kept. As far as online support is concerned, be prepared to spend 30 minutes of your time following the commands given by the technical staff and when the same can not still be rectified, the buck is passed on to Wifi router purchased by me on my own without checking their own equipment.


To illustrate,  I have net gear router and the connection is not working even directly but they are not ready to listen to me. To give a last try, I decided to go in for ABC Broadband router and paid online  Rs.1685/- on 28th November 2012 and placed the order on 29th November 2012 at about 10A.M for their router. I was assured that the same shall be installed within 72 hrs which has not been installed even up to this date.When I contacted the customer care on 2nd Dec. I was told to wait .When I told them that the deadline of 72 hrs was already over, I was informed that the same is 72 working hours which translated to 9 days considering 8 working hours in a day.


Frustrated, I expressed my desire to terminate the connection and asked for the refund of balance in my account plus the cost of router paid by me on 28th Nov.2012.I was then told that I would be contacted by the back end office within 48 hrs and explained the procedure for refund.This time again there was no call within the time frame given to me. I finally received the call at around 2 P.M on 5th December and assured me that the router will be installed at my premises the same day if  I wished to continue the service. I received another call at around 6 P.M and the ABC Broadband executive expressed her inability to get it installed on that day but promised that the same shall be done before 12 P.M the next day. When I asked about the refund procedure, she informed me that I would get only Rs.500/- in case I do not want the router and stick to my request for termination of the connection.


I fail to understand why a subscriber, who has made the payment placed the order, waited for 8 days and is neither availing their services nor received the equipment should be made to bear the loss for the lapses and inability to provide the equipment as well as services by  the service provider ABC Broadband


The same has not been installed till  writing of this review on 6th Dec.
