This is how I fell for ABC Broadband. I was fed up with my Airtel broadband connection for their cost. The GB limit would expire in 15 days and for the rest of the month I have to be on slow speed internet which was very annoying.
Right then I saw ABC Broadband’s ad and its plans. No GB limit with 4MBPS speed for same Airtel cost looked a good deal to me. I did not do any research on ABC Broadband and took the connection. Got installed in 2 days. Day 3 from that the first connection issue occurred.
The speed for 4MBPS bandwidth did not even cross 65KBPS download speed. And worse the Internet stopped working on day 3. So I called their toll free cust care number (which eventually will be changed to a non-toll free number).
She tried a lot to fix and after some time she gave a very ridiculous answer. "Sir please switch off your adapter for 20 mins and then switch on. Surely it will work sir". I was like "What the..". But I did what she suggested but as expected that did not help. So I called again and after a long discussion and tryouts he could not fix that.
Fed up already I left it. I called them after 2 days as I got cooled off. Thank goodness I had not disconnected my Airtel connection and I thought they were so much better than ABC Broadband at least in giving reliable connection. So the ABC Broadband cust care rep finally had identified the problem.
The server in my location was down/having some issue. He said a ABC Broadband rep will visit my location and fix the server problem in 2 days.
I waited for 3 days 4 days and I had made my decision to disconnect it. I have disconnected it now and waiting for refund as I had used only 3 days of internet.
Please do not fall for their plan. Never go for ABC Broadband.
