E-Square!!a birds eye view(a fat birds eye view ;)

Hoya, not a catchy title but could not find anything that was’nt boring so this, anyways.I have been in Pune for past 3 years [allegedly for studies, let me assure you, I call myself a Stud, short for student you see Sir!!] My major time-pass has been watching movies and I started my experience to budget single-screen theatres such as Alka, Vijay etc. but graduated to the multiplexes once I got my bike here. I found the multiplexes expensive and in those days they were good enough only if you were going to watch a movie along with a classy lassie [beg you pardon Ladies.]Only Inox was close enough but the ticket rates were atrocious, ranging from 90-130 bux and that coupled with the parking [10bux], popcorn and coke during the movie[another 50 gone] and if the femme fatale still had some unused space in that seemingly short tummy[you never know :-(], a visit to McDonalds in the vicinity was unavoidable. In all, about 500 rupees were spent[my precious, hiss], watching a movie. Then came E-Square, with its snazzy lights and all, big launch which many bollywood personalities attended [owner of e-square is Famous producer, Nitin Manmohan, so you have the added advantage of spotting bollywood celebrities if you are regular. I have watched movies with Sanjay Dutt and Mahesh Manjrekar sitting three rows behind and lucky enuff to be in da same row with Perizaad ;-)] Lets get down to the nitty-gritties now.The multiplex has 5 screens and screen 1-4 are smaller ones with capacity of about 200 on an avg and screen 5 is the biggest screen with 500+ capacity methinks. Most new and big movies are launched here and it is the best screen to watch a movie. The multiplex has lotsa other usual goodies thrown in, like a small shopping mall selling female accessories, Archies Gallery, optical accessories, UTI ATM, TI-AMO Ice cream store which has amazing icecream flavours, Crosswords bookshop and blah blah blah....phe https:// Also check the sketching machine[makes ur pencil sketches in 2 mins]it rocks. It has a good food court too, having a platter of southie food to authentic Italian and mexican fare which is not expensive and a good Value-for-money.It also has 2 pool tables to while away your time and a decent coffee bar too.A good in-house DJ too, who plays your requests and dedications, is present over here, though he located below the staircase(last heard he was sacked). Parking space is good but lack of courtesy on part of attendants is a major issue for a chap like me.All possible ghaatis are picked up for parking and security jobs, who can speak any language with marathi accent. Ticket prices are usually 40/50 for morning shows and vary from 50/80/100 to 80/100/120 depending on the movie.Check you seating twice while taking your tickets as the try to sell the front row seats most of the times. The crowd for the night/evening shows is good and people are generally well-mannered but day shows have ghaati local crowd too. A decent place to be in all and one can have a good enuff date here for aout 300-400 bux tht includes a full time meal too, without going Dutch, I am a chivalrous fellow Sir ;-)
