Avatarwas released last year(Though that Sounds like history now, but it isn’t…its only been a few days). So naturally I was enthralled on the prospect of seeing a 3D movie after a long long time(chota chetan was my 1st, and the 3D effects were tremendous!).
Now, the thing is I did not enjoy the movie in E-Square. Movie was good, experience wasn’t. And I think, there could be two reasons for that.
The E-Square movie hall isn’t great. its good, but not great. Especially for a 3D movie. You can go there & watch a movie and come back. That’s it! Don’t go for the experience of it. E-Square should probably have a dedicated 3D hall which can be used for 2 D movies, and not the other way round.
I personally believe that in a 3D movie, u got to sit close to the Screen, contrary to a 2D movie were you would want to have the last row of seats!.you know, this is because, if you can see the boundary of the Screen, you will not experience wat its like to have a 3D effect, when .saty a monster is looming over you, or there is something happening in the background, etc. u need to have a full wholesome view of the Screen, so that your eyes have to search of the object in the foreground, background, and sideways, like you do in real life. Imagine waking with a box over your head, with a small rectangular slot cut in front to make you see where you are going! You’ll be walking in a 3D land with a 2D view, unless of course the object is very close to you, but then again if its too close it’ll go outside the rectangular box, and out of your view. This is what happens if you take last row seats in a 3 D movie!
I guess, I’d rate my 2nd point higher for not getting that 3D experience that I was expecting!.
What do you think?
