Abhiyum nanum, third venture from radha mohan under duet pictures after azhagiya thiye and mozhi is very good . In this venture he has depicted the father daughter relationship at ease . Prakashraj as father raghuram, aishwarya as his wife anu, trisha as the adorable daughter abhi.
Raghuram(prakashraj) around which the entire plot is webed together .The plot begins with a morning walk by raghuram and a conversation that he strikes with actor prithviraj who has done a guest role . The various experiences and shocks that raghuram faces as ABHI grows up in life forms the rest of the story . Dont think that its going to be a documentry out there. Its sure about good and bad memories which is potrayed amidst an equal mix of sentiments emotions and a touch of comedy everywhere. Daughters grow up fast but Daddy ‘s has to learn and realise that their daughters grows up faster and be ready to face the fact that his princess is a queen according to the circumstances irrespective of her age .
The nameless beggar(by kumaravel) who starts living with the family because of ABHI’s insistence and the hotel scene that follows is sure to bring tears to many eyes .Kumaravel has some touching scenes in the entire plot .
The preparation that parents go through to put their kids in prekg is so well cinematic-ally done and brings laughter to us and also makes us think about our education system .The hot water scene, the first day ABHI goes to school in a bicycle and raghuram following her in a jeep, ABHI celebrating her dads birthday in the middle of a lake at midnight, asking her fathers advice regarding the first love letter that she receives in college, confessing her love to her father, leaving her father in the middle of the road without a shirt so as to help a mentally challenged girl to reach the safe hands are some of the scenes that tend to linger in your heart for a very long time.
The meeting that takes place between Joginder Singh(by Ganesh Venktraman) the love of her daughter and the so called relatives that land up in his house and the chaos that follows amids the emotion that Raghuram goes through while parting with her daughter is captured so well in the movie .One scene that I personally liked the most is one where ABHI slips and falls while visiting her father with jogindher .The emotions that Prakashraj has delivered in that scene I simply loved it .
As far the performance of cast Prakashraj has done the role of Raghuram with ease and the change of emotions in his face is quite extraodinary .I liked the performance of prakash raj . Trisha as ABHI the cute adorable daughter. I felt the expressions were the same through out not much of changes between being sad or confused.
Thanks to Radha Mohan for giving a neat picture for us and also sending a message of ‘MANITHA NEYAM ‘.Every one who watches the film is sure to have some beautiful memories about their life . It will be like a journey to your past and all the fathers and daughters will connect atleast some of the happenings in Raghuram and Abhis life to theirs .
