ABN STATUTORY WARNING : GET READY TO BE HARRASED

I got my ABN Freedom Lifetime free card on a corporate basis & got it only because of the marketing executive who was behind me calling up at every possible time.


I had just say "Get this FrEeDoM Card & loose your freedom".


They are somewhat prompt in sending you the monthly statement atleast, if not in billing you up. but the customer service is simply pathetic & undesirable, the collection department they have is further more worse & each time a diff. collection agent calls u you making it even worse, they have a bunch of uneducated fools to whom each and every time you call, you have to repeat yourself for them to understand. They give you wrong information most of the times & moreover conflicting answers or solutions each time you call them up; for Example:One agent says u just make the min. payment now & will get the settlement offer & the next time u call, one more says our bank does not offer settlements at all...They just want you to make the payment at any cost….preferably the minimum payment, no matter what problem you have or what quality issues you have. They in some instances even threatened me that they would get me listed in RBI as a defaulter & if listed I wouldn’t get any further cards or loans from any of the participating banks & also send field agents to my house, all this in spite of me willing to settle the a/c if they wave off the fraudulent charges they had charged me with.Once a collection agent called up my Residence & spoke to my sister & told her "Your brother has to make a payment of Rs._____ so ask him keep the money ready & i’ll send my executive in the afternoon" How the hell can these people reveal any of my financial deals to my family.....


The e-mail I sent to the Operations manager of ABN to headcardservices.in.abnamro.com is 3 pages long & describes every single problem I have faced from this bank & what kind of service they provide…I sent this e-mail on Jun 16, 2006 @ 8:37 PM & have not yet got Reply….i believe I might get it in a couple of days though, anyways I’ll keep u guys updated on this.
