Biggest cheat of them all. They charge your card with all sundry things for which you never subscribed like health insurance EMI, new card charges(even thoough it was free of cost!) and then DEMAND you pay up or they will send goons(aka collection agents).
Now, if you got through all that somehow but happen to have savings account in ABN then even god cant save you. This is coz this bank takes out money from your savings account and if you complain to bank they say that they have the rights to do it without informing the customer.
Further, they also discredit their own emails they send you or any promise one of their employee makes to you for settlement.
I suffered due to this - was offered a card as free(which it kept for 1 year); sometime later they added health insurance plan and started asking for EMI. I disputed that and asked them for proof of my consent which they never provided. In second year they added new card charges to it and I called them to cancel my card. But they were adamant that I pay up all the charges i.e. new card charges alongwith health ins EMI. I never paid so they started threating me with their goons. But I never cowed down.
As a final resort they somehow got to know that I had saving account in their bank and deducted money directly from it(total Rs 4000). I am now planning to take them to the consumer court.
Beware of ABN, Stan chart and HDFC credit cards.
