WORST Bank I ever came across.

ABN AMRO employees, Leadership and Stakeholders....... I have no words for you guys, sservices are just too bad.


I am a very unfortunate person who opted for ABN AMRO bank as my salary bank account. I went by the brand name. thats the reason I went for this Bank. First experience itself was very bad.


Problem Stage 1-


It took 30 , yes 30 damn days just activate my account. Because of these people I have to miss my one months salary.. Already I did not receive my salary from last 2 months as my previous company stopped my salary as I was resigning.


I was expecting my salary for the 3 rd month atleast as I have worked for a month in this new company. I was relieved as my BURDEN of expenses were going to reduce... But These didnt activate my account and my salary got postponed to next month. Now you know how difficult it would be for a person like me. Everyone is financially troubled when they are changing a job. and then you get to hear that your salary will be postponed by another month. Its like a heart-failure. I called customer care and the sales executive almost 30-40 times.


Finally my account was activated after long wait of 30 days. I was ok atleast now the account is activated and there wont be any problem in my salary. after that I kept receiving my salary on regular basis.


Problem Stage 2 -


Now as ABN AMRO is my salary account I kept using this so Called Debit Card in ATM’s and for shopping. Telling you frankly guys ABN AMRO DEBIT CARD IS NOT ACCEPTED IN 60-70% OF ATMS. Most of the ATM reject ABN AMRO cards. Moreover, most of the times the waiter in the restaurent or the sales executive of the shop comes back and says - SIR THIS CARD IS NOT WORKING, I AM NOT ABLE TO MAKE SALE THRU THIS CARD. Just guess the situation in which I will be, although I had other cards so I was saved. But this can lead up to a very embarressing situation.


Problem Stage 3-


Ok, After facing all these problems I decided to use the card only for Internet Banking. I didnt make a single transaction for 2 months continously. Only Online Banking. Now one day the password gets deactivated by itself.. ???? Now what the heck is this... ok , no other way out... A decent person will call the call centre...below is my experience with the Call centre executive.


Problem Stage 4 -


You call the call centre on the given numbers. Wait time is never less than 5-8 minutes. ok fine , customers have problem so they will wait.. wait wait.. finally someone will answer, he/she is not able to answer the query. If you ask complicated questions, they dont understand , you know what will happen, the executive the HANG UP THE CALL.. .how dare a customer care executive HUNG UP A CALL... that too when I was talking to them so politely and I asked for escalaltion.


This incident was 2 months back when they use to answer the call..... Latest update is that no one will answer the call. This is true... NO ONE ANSWERS the call in the call centre.. I have tried 3-4 times.. on Hyderabad number.. no one answered the call .. I got so damn pissed off.. that I thought of finally share my experiences with you...


One SIMPLE SUGGESTION to all...


KEEP AWAY FROM ABN AMRO... or you will end up in trouble for yourself and you will take out the frustration in ur family and office... I saw the CEO (the lady in Saree) on a news channel the other day.. She was looking so good and happy.. Madame if you are reading this - YOU NEED TO WORK LOT MORE THEN GIVING SILLY INTERVIEWS ON TV CHANNELS.... Your Bank’s cutomers are not at all happy. DO Something if you have some dignity and if you care for customer service.
