Slow service

After being with ICICI Banks for about 3 years, I was suddenly introduced to ABN AMRO Bank few months back as it now holds my salary account. The service is sloppy to say the least, and arguably one of the slowest amongst the Private sector banks. The bank offers online banking, which can primarily be used to check your account balance and not much besides that. If you want to transfer some amount to another account in ABN AMRO Bank, you need to fill and physically submit a form to them, though you can transfer money to other banks without any such form.

ABN Amro offers special interest rates for extremely odd number of days such as 99/188/288 days, but again you cannot avail of this facility by online banking.

Abn Amro gives customers phone numbers and account details to it’s credit card and mutual fund representatives. So they know your name and eligibility when they call you.

The list of complaints is comprehensive as of now, but you never know :-). Will add more as I deal with them more.
