I personlly never would have bought an Acer laptop but got this one in a lucky draw and truly the laptop is impressive for it’s price tag. I came with Windows Vista Home basic, 80GB HDD, 1GB RAM, inbuilt webcam and a very nice laptop bag.
I was looking for desktop replacement for my home but never thought that it would come as an Acer laptop. Its a nice laptop with white body and a comfortable keyboard. DVD movies play very well in the laptop with great sounding speakers. I even connected my TV to it using a Svideo out cable. The wifi card in the laptop is better than the D630 I have; it picks up better range. it even has an inbuilt mic which I use extensively with Skype.
Few drawbacks are that the touchpad is not very good, it is very sensetive for the tap and keeps messing up every time you are typing. The speed of the laptop is not very bad with Celeron 1.5GHZ processor. I recently updgraded to 2GB RAM and everything is going even smoother.
Overall its a nice & rather surprising package for the price at which it is available. Acer customer care is also OK when it comes to responses. All in all I am happy with this gift which I won in a lucky draw. Never thought that Acer laptop would be good.
