My college friend has this laptop and it’s very very bad. He has been using for more than two years now and after two months, this laptop started showing problems in it. He bought it in 2008.
Pros:
HDMI port
Good keyboard: while I tested this laptop. I liked the keyboard. it was quite comfortable to use.
Cons:
Support: Acer’s support is very poor. Workers are little unprofessional and most of the time they were not having parts available for it so, we needed to deposit the laptop for 18 days which is quite a long time
Weight: The weight was of this laptop was somewhere around 3 Kg which makes quite heavy and uncomfortable to carry for long distance.
Reliability: This laptop completely fails in terms of reliability as its parts are not of good quality. during our use, first its RAM stopped working, the battery died, and then its DVD drive also stopped working. Our project disc got stuck inside due to the failure of DVD drive.
Performance: It’s average. It used to hang occasionally.
Display: As it was a glossy panel instead of seeing the content on the display I used to see more of face reflection in it. Its very reflective, wobbly and distracting display.
I won’t recommend this laptop in particular.
