Acer Laptops ? Read Before Buying

Acer Aspire E15 E5-575G-51VA it is one of most budget friendly laptops in India with DOS, it runs on i5 7th Generation processor, 8GB of RAM, 2GB Nvidia GeForce 940MX VRAM, 1TB HDD, it’s got Reversible type-c connector, HDR webcam, Faster memory speed, 6 hours of battery life etc.

This was all what the company mentioned on the laptop but now lets talk about what I’ve experienced after owning it.

No doubt it was the most budget friendly laptop in India that’s why even I chose of buying it, but after having it might need to do a bit of the compromises with this laptop. You must have gone through all the positive things all this laptop has above but I’ll be now talking about the truth of those features in real life.

First of all if you’re a gamer then surely this isn’t meant for you as it lags a lot and slows down on using some heavy games the 2gb graphic card Nvidia 940mx don’t know doesn’t performs well it’s only good for some light gaming.

Using some animation softwares like Maya, Adobe Premiere Pro was also not up to the mark as it’s multi tasking simply reminds me of old generation laptops which slowed down after moving from one window to another.

Talking about the screen resolution then they’ve given an HD display, which works well indoor but in the sunlight it’s a bit difficult to read text even on the full brightness.

The processor i5 7th gen. with which it comes with has not given me that good performance how much I expected from it but it still works well for daily usage.

It supports reversible USB type-c connector which I still don’t find any usage in my practical daily life might be of some use in future.

HDR webcam which company talks about works well only as long as we wish to click photographs and that too in good lightening condition but as soon as we try to create a video then there’s a delay in the video than our normal speed, it appears the video was recorded at a slower speed.

The company provides 1 year of warranty and you can extend it for 2 more years but I don’t find any much use of it as the issues which I’ve talked about exist in it since the time I purchased so they simply can’t be corrected.

8GB of RAM might sounds great but this isn’t the best which you’re getting, it’s 2.5 Ghz of processor supports turbo boost upto 3.1 Ghz but that simply at times make the laptop heated up.

The battery life which company talks about is approximately 6 hours but practically on a normal usage it does last for 5 - 5.5 hours.on heavy usage it lasts for 4 - 4.5 hours which it pretty good.

Build quality of this laptop is also great which looks quite premium to hold and gives a professional feel.

So overall if you want a laptop for daily usage then you must go for it as its i5 processor will let you use it for next couple of years too.
