I have an Acer aspire e15 with 4GB Ram , 500 GB data storage and intel i5 core which I have bought 4 years back.In my experience the laptop is ok for a student but not recommended for a tech student as 4GB Ram is not enough and 500 GB is not enough to complete their necesseties.
Being a civil engineer graduate I a was not that much comfortable with the product because it will hang when working on professional applications like Autocad, revit and so on. So I recommend those tech guys who are going to buy acer should buy the versions with system requirements like 16 GB Ram, minimum 1 TB data storage .
I do not have any other complients on the quality of the product and its UI is also good
