People, dont buy this phone thinking its a budget phone and that 6999 rs is not much of an amount to take the risk. You are not taking risk but simply throwing your money into the cheats( Acers) account.
I had ordered Acer Liquid Z530 from flipkart. As soon as I inserted my sim card and switched on the handset, a pop up appeared even before selecting the language and setting up the phone saying Unfortunately, com.android.phone has stopped. Without thinking much of the pop up, I reported the issue and thought that must do the job. But then the sequence of nightmare started. The pop up kept coming inspite of submitting the report and pressing OK. I then contacted flipkart and they provided me with a return request. It was still ok till then. Evening I received a mail asking me to download an app for troubleshooting. I tried but as soon as the pop up came, the network goes down and couldnt access internet. Night came and I received 2 mails, one with all the possible reasons of why its happening and to follow some steps, other wasSorry, Acer has rejected your return request stating that they solved the issue from their side. This was the open-eyed nightmare I got because the pop up came coming. I then thought of following the troubleshooting steps. With very much difficulty and patience, I updated the operating system that they provided. Nothing happened other than losing 200MB of my data.
Today morning, I checked the handset and the battery had drained from a whooping 60-70% to 19% without doing anything. Since the flipkart people were supposed to call me regarding the problem, I thought I will charge the handset incase I am asked to follow some more troubleshooting steps. To my horror, now the charging port had problem. It kept switching between charging and not charging.
Now I am left with a foul mood and a handset that is of no use.
Bottom line: Acer has the worst customer support as they didnt even tried contacting me. Its totally a waste of time and money.
Flipkart isnt doing much other than sending me Thank You for writing to us. I understand your concern blah blah blah.
