So far I have only written very positive reviews; I expect that is because I tend to forget about the bad things (I am a happy chap). This particular laptop (which I am using to type this review) is horrendous price, quality and design. I paid £2800 (about $4000) to buy the laptop; it was recomended by the school, and at the time I didnt think it was too bad of a deal; the problem was I didnt look around for other products.
Anyway, back to the actual laptop... It came with Windows 2000 and seemed to crash all the time. I deleted programs, added programs, did everything, but nothing seemed to help. And then, three weeks after buying it, the screen broke (by itself). Not a problem, I though, the warranty will cover it. The warranty did, but it was another three weeks before I got it back! A month or two later one of the keys fell off: that took just over a week to get fixed. Then, early september, the keyboard actually STOPPED working. That only took 4 days to get fixed. But the week after, that laptop wouldnt even turn on! 4 WEEKS later, I got it back, and already a few of the keys have stopped working.
The laptop is built extreemly shoddily. The Panels on the laptop werent even glued on, they sort of slid together, but the panels start falling off very quickly.
To sum it all up, this laptop is terrible. It has put me off Acer for life. The next laptop I buy will be a Dell, as there quality and price is a lot better than Acers.
