This is regarding the skating classes conducted by Apurva Natvar Parikh &Co. Pvt. Ltd. Div-The Acres Club, Mumbai. On 8th Feb 2014, I paid the company Rs. 2921/- for the services of skating coaching. The skating coaching as advertised by Acres club is by Mr.Amarjeet singh. But one Mr. Avi comes to take classes at Acres.
So I come to acres to join when the receptionist tells me that the coaching is for one month charged at Rs.2600/-+ taxes, then I called Mr. Amarjeet again to clarify and he says there must have been some misunderstanding as the rate is for 3 months and that was the only class he had personally come, which was to collect the receipt from me at Acres.
The classes were taken by someone else who had taken 3 classes without fail afterwhich on a Wednesday he didn’t make it which he informed me 15 minutes before the class timing. He was not bothered to inform when he would be adjusting the class until I asked. He said it would be done after the sessions are complete. after all there is only one student, what should they bother about.
My daughter being the only student in Acres for skating class was being difficult, so I had to call Mr. Amarjeet Singh to transfer her class to Sindhi Gymkhana for which he had sarcastically asked me is her classes in Acres over, then she can take the admission in Sindhi. But the other tutor told me lets watch how she does at Sindhi for just one class on Sunday batch (23/02/2014). So I went on Sunday morning to Sindhi gymkhana, Mr.Avi was not there, he did not pick the call either. Mr. Amarjeet Singh who was there coaching other students behaved very cold and did not even know me. So I went straight to Acres to complain this to the operations Manager.
Here I meet Mr.Paul who told me that acres is not responsible for the classes conducted but they just rent out the place to Mr. Amarjeet Singh but nevertheless he will get in touch with him and sort out the issue. When I asked him why there was no minimum students to start the batch, neither did he nor did Amarjeet Singh have any answers, rather they were just blaming on each other as to who is responsible for the minimum requirement for a batch start.
Everytime I had to call up Mr. Paul to ask him what happened to the issue though he politely says he will be calling back. So when I called him he said Mr. Amarjeet Singh will be talking to me. This Amarjeet Singh called me and said he will take care and he put the whole blame on the other tutor, though he never understood the issue that I had on the whole with this class. He said from now on he will take care personally and see that the classes are conducted properly. And once she goes on a higher level we can shift her to Sindhi gymkhana as there is not enough place at Acres. Though when I called him first time it was the other way round. But again on Wednesday 26/02/2014, he calls me at 5 in the evening and says the class cant happen today due to so and so reasons.
Two classes in a row, and I told him I don’t want to continue with the class and called Mr.Paul and said I want a refund. Mr. Paul told me not to worry and that he will talk with Mr. Amarjeet and let me know. As usual he never bothered to inform me what happened on the meeting. So I called him on and he tells me Mr. Amarjeet tells me that he will compensate all classes in the end of the session and that the refund cannot happen as we at Acres have given you a receipt which mentions no refund (the receipt mentions nothing, how blind can an Operation Manager be). Now finally MR. Paul who initially said Acres had no responsibility but rent the place for skating has taken the responsibility to deny the refund. The classes are not conducted and they are telling me they will compensate in the end of the session. Which session? When there are no classes at all. This paul of acres is still sending me mails as reminder 1, reminder 2 instead of understanding the problem.
But I would like to inform that since this skating class at Acres is a shoddy affair I warn please take care as I have gone through the mental agony of communicating to MR. Paul and Mr. Amarjeet singh. They did not have the basic behavior of being true to their words or services.
End of the day at Acres club its all about money, after they receive that you are on your own. best of luck.
