I have taken an internet connection from ACT in kadubeesanahalli, Bangalore-560103 which is just near the outer ring road.
It was taken on few days back only may be 7 days back. After that my ordeal started.
They took extra Rs 1000 saying internal wiring is required and did not give any receipt for that. I was ok for that. I took a plan for 6 months by paying some 9700. I got the connection after two days. Their so called engineer came and installed it(gave connection to the box, remember I had paid 1000 for the wiring before). and showed us the home page and left saying we will be getting username and password soon which we got in the evening.
When we tried to use that there was no internet connection. We raised a complaint. Their policy is "It will be resolved with in 48 hours" and believe me, customer care is not like any other customer care. They are rude. They talk rude and say* off if you do not like their plan and policy, in a rude way.
Any how after 48 hours engineer came and fixed it in 5-10 minutes saying a wrong port was assigned.It worked for 3 days and again its down from yesterday. Customer care says it will be resolved with in 48 hours. Hope today someone will come and fix it as already 36 hours is over.
I came from Airtel broadband. I used that for last more than 3.5 years and I faced total of 3-4 issues which were addressed within 2-3 hours. Thats call reliability. My bad luck there is no airtel connection yet in this locality as the building is new. Hope they will provide connection here soon.
Now I got an internet dongle to mitigate their frequent and very long down time. So be prepared to spend another 1000 every month if you want to use ACT
Bottomline: If you use internet as a normal human being avoid ACT, if any other option is there. If you love to check internet speed in websites like speedtest.net and tell your friends you got a very fast internet go for ACT.I will give guarantee it will make your life miserable by its frequent disconnection and rude customer care response and unskilled workers(I hate to say their engineers as engineers). Its not at all a reliable internet connection.
