ACT Broadband has been the most horrendous and horrible and the worst ever possible service that I have ventured into in my entire life. I switched my connection from Airtel to ACT. The reason being only that the prices and tariffs at ACT was quite attractive.I am a user who consumes of 20 GB of data with in 10 days. At first I had to call these ACT guys multiple times to provide me a connection. Once I applied for the connection, the guy came along with a cable and said that he will also be able to configure my WIFI router. I had inquired prior to installation if my router would work.
They confirmed that it would. Eventually the installation was half complete on the 31st of December. I tried to call the guy who installed my router " Rakesh" to finish the installation. I received rudest of replies from any service organization saying that he would not come and I could do or escalate to anyone whom I wish. Hell, the escalation process never works in this organization. Whenever you call the customer care center and ask for an escalation manager, the call is passed on to the neighbouring agent. Moreover, they never give a resolution and promise a call back which they never keep up.
During the installation, this guy screws up my existing router. After calling them every single day and howling at the people from ACT for 9 consecutive days, a senior technical executive is sent to my place. This guy "Muralidhar" though seemed quite technical, in the end pronounced that it was my router which is faulty and nothing went wrong during the installation. I only ask to ACT, what worked incessantly for years together, how can that machine go wrong after the intervention from one of your guys? Furthermore, they denied replacing my router and very politely and diplomatically conveyed the message "screw yourself, it is your mistake to have chosen ACT" and have left me in lurch, I have no other options other than to cancel my connection with them. Though, they still have the audacity to recommend to me to try their service for six months and they would give me router free of cost.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS AS A SHOUT TO ALL THOSE CONSUMERS OF BROADBAND. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY ACT BROADBAND. They are a complete con company
