First in worst service

Dear Friends,


I urge you to avoid ACT broadband as the service is pathetic. Kindly read my full review as I have lost INR 6000 because of ACT. It will take 2 minutes to read but it might save your hard earned money.




  1. Installation Fraud:- Once you request, they install the connection in a week. Installation guy will ask you to make 6 months or 1 year payment in advance as you will get free WIFI router and free installation. When I made a payment I was charged 500 rupees for installation. I was told that I will be getting a refund but no joy even after 5 months. Dont ever do this. I have paid 7700 out of which I lost complete 6000 to ACT without proper usage




  2. Free router fraud:- Cheap quality router that needs switch off twice every day. It will not let you connect properly and once you turn it off and on, then it works for few hours.




  3. Connectivity Fraud:- After the successful 2 weeks I started raising complaints about the connection. Initially I was told that there was a problem and they fixed it. Later I was told that a field engineer will come and fix the issue in 2 to 3 working days. Dont expect them until the 3rd day.




  4. Service Fraud:- No one comes to your home. Someone will call you and asks you to explain the problem. If you miss their call, that is it! - its equivalent that you have missed a call from president obama. You will get a message saying your ticket is closed and then raise a new ticket and wait for 3 days.




  5. Network Fraud:- They will inform you that that they have to setup a box in your home. The box is a heavy power user and my electricity bill was shot from 500 rupees a month to 800+ a month. ACT will tell you that it would not use more than 30 rupees a month and you will be getting 50 rupees discount every month. My foot discount I got. When I call customer care asking for discount all they tell is "systems not reflecting box in your house"




  6. Speed Fraud:- They tell that you get 30 MBPS of speed. When you make speed test it will show 29 Mbps but when you stream a video, your 3G does a better job than ACT. I had this issues due to connectivity problem. Connection keep disconnecting for every 5 to 10 minutes. Especially when you are doing bank transactions the page gets expired. Your amount is gone away but the tickets are not booked.




  7. Finally refund fraud:- When you are tired of realising that you have wasted your money taking ACT broadband you will ask for cancellation and then refund the excess money paid.






> First they will tell you that they will fix the issue. After first request to cancellation you will get someone to your house after 10 days and will assure that they have fixed the issue. Internet works fine for 2 hours and gone.


> Like this ACT will push for at least 3 months.


> When you raise a strong voice, they will tell that they dont have any process to refund


> When you email them you will get a call and they will inform that you will not get refund but the amount can be transferred to different ACT user


> When you raise a request on PG PORTAL escalating the matter to dept of telecommunication you will finally get a refund of 1200 which will take 10 working days(i did not get any amount to hand yet)


I paid 7700


I think I used service worth 500


I was told that I will get a refund of 1200 which is totally insane. ACT you will suffer for what every you have done to me.
