Please see results of speedtest above. I switched to ACT with hopes of superfast broadband. Luckily I chose the cheapest option(ACT Blaze with 40Mbps speed and 50GB data) as the price was comparable to BSNL. I always expected to not get the rated speed.
I thought even if I get 20Mbps speed it will be more than enough. However, I am getting much lesser download speed in place of 40Mbps. Customer service is impossible to reach.
UPDATE:
I am now getting close to 20Mbps quite a few times but it varies wildly. The most important thing is that this connection is not a steady connection.it keeps dropping albeit once in an hour or so. What this means is that if you are using this connection for office work then it is a real pain as you will keep getting disconnected from the office servers. However, its OK for normal surfing as the disconnections will only cause problems when you are doing secure transactions like paying for online shopping etc. In any case it is a pain and I am missing the steadiness in the internet connection.
