Updating my review based on my recent experience(3 star to 1 star).
Quick lessons that I learnt: Never pay in advance.
I moved to different area last week. Gave relocation request in advance. They told, relocation will be done within 3~7 days. I almost called 6~7 times. Still no progress(10 days over).
Finally gave up and moving to airtel.
ACT doesnt care about existing(relocation). They get incentives, so they focus only on new connection. Its my mistake that I paid them in advance and had to stay in the same connection.
Im using ACT broadband with 40Mbps for almost an year. The speed is awesome. The plans are much cheaper than its competitors.
But there are two tradeoffs:
1) Reliability: Connection goes down often(approx twice in a month in my apartment - Tata Aquila Heights, Near Jalahalli). They rely on optical fibre cables. If your internet goes down in the evening, its likely that youll get it back on the next day only!
2) Bad customer service: They dont have 24x7 customer care. Their timings is till 11pm only. There is no call back register(youve to call them again in their business hours). Also the numbers are not toll free and waiting time is approx 10minutes.
Looks like they do it intentionally to reduce the operational cost.
If you want high speed with good download limit at low cost, ACT is the choice(given that reliability is not blocker).
