Where is refund of 11k?

I had taken ACT Fibernet connection in BTM layout, Bangalore. I used it for 3 months. Apart from minor problems, I didn’t face many issues. Mostly those issues were also resolved satisfactorily.


Except, there was 1 issue for which the ACT guys were rude. I called them to mention that the upload speed is low and not same as download speed.(ACT promises they will provide upload speed which is same as download speed. But this never happens. But its still better than what other service providers give). They probably checked the speed from their end and closed the request saying that upload speed is good. I filed one more request for the same and this time I was adament that upload speed should be same as download speed as that was promised to me. The guy on the other side of the phone was rude. He started asking, can I know your use case? Why do you need so much speed? What are you trying to upload? Ultimately the issue was never resolved but they closed the request as resolved from their end.


I had to shift to JP Nagar 7th phase this month. ACT couldn’t provide internet here so I had to close my connection. Problem started after I closed their connection. I had paid for 1 whole year(15, 492). Before closing, they were all assurances saying within 1 week of closure the remaining amount(~11K) would be refunded. Now, its been 12 days since I gave my bank details, there is no response from ACT. Everytime I call ACT, they say they have registered a complaint and accounts team will call me. And account team never calls.


There is no response to my mails too. No I am worried whether they will refund me or not.


I would say, even if have to shell out more, go for Airtel. Don’t trust these ACT guys.
