Get ready to be abused

I had disconnected from ACT Broadband due to poor service and even after that I keep getting calls from them every day about service offers.


I had raised so many complaints and requests not to call but they don’t give a damn about it.


This was happening even with FULL DND set for my number.


I tried to block their numbers with a custom app and I was initially successful since their numbers used had a common pattern.


But lately they had changed their systems by using BOTS to make call from a random number and continue with the persisting nuisance of marketing offers.


Sometimes I get calls like 4 or 5 times a day and it really affects my work. You can’t say do not call me because its a Auotmated BOT call and you can’t prevent it.


Since my earlier complaints to ACT was unheeded I raised a complaint with National Consumer portal, but those guys had closed the case stating it can be resolved with ACT itself! which they wont! It looks like their goal is to quickly close the case somehow without getting feedback from the consumer so that they can bring out data to their superiors that so much cases has been closed and get into good books.


Im totally frustrated about the apathetic state for consumers in our country. Our legal system had become corrupt and inefficient due to which large corporates take advantage of the loopholes in law and keep abusing the people.
