Located in Ajmer, Rajasthan, this mosque was built on orders of Muhammad Ghori.
It was build by mostly hindu masons, and earlier was a temple which was partialy destroyed and converted into a mosque.
People have a perception that the mosque was built in 2 and a half days and that gave it its current name but the truth is Muhammad Ghori ordered his labours to build it in 60 hours but only a wall could be completed where he used to perform prayers.
It has beautiful carving all over its walls, some have perished and weared with time while the others still stay awake and beautiful.
You cam easily reach there, accessibility is not a problem.
The monument is a delight to the eyes, there is a lot to behold.
No need to worry about pickpockets and all as it is a beautifuly silent place.
As far as accommodation is concerned, Ajmer city is a tourist attraction and you will find many affordable restaurants and motels along the way.
Being a daughter of an archaeologost, I have always liked travelling places and I cant say a no to any monument, its a definite visot for people who love history and travel a lot.
